In-Home Carpet Cleaning in NYC
Wall-to-wall carpet cannot come to the workshop, so we bring the cleaning to you. We clean installed carpet in apartments, townhouses and houses across the city, with care taken for your home and building.
On-site cleaning, done properly
Installed carpet holds dust, allergens and grit that vacuuming leaves behind. A thorough on-site clean starts with a pre-vacuum, then pre-treatment of traffic lanes and spots, followed by hot water extraction or a low-moisture method depending on the carpet's fiber and construction.
Protecting your home
We protect floors, corners and doorways, and plan around your building's rules on elevator use, hours and access.
Drying
We extract as much moisture as possible and set up air flow. Drying time depends on the carpet, pad and ventilation.
Fine area rugs belong at the workshop
We are often asked to clean an area rug in place during a carpet visit. For synthetic or inexpensive rugs that can be reasonable. For Persian, oriental, silk, antique or other hand-knotted rugs, we recommend a workshop wash. In a home we cannot dust the rug from the back, test and control dye bleed, rinse fully or dry it flat under controlled conditions. We can collect those rugs on the same visit at no charge.

We will confirm the rooms and approximate square footage when booking so we arrive with the right equipment.
If your building has delivery or work requirements, let us know when you book and we will plan around them.
On-site cleaning is usually done in a single visit. Carpet typically dries within a day, depending on the carpet, pad and ventilation.

Can you clean my Persian rug at home?
We recommend a workshop wash for hand-knotted rugs. We can collect them on the same visit for free.
How long until I can walk on the carpet?
Light foot traffic in socks is usually fine soon after; full drying typically takes up to a day.
Do you move furniture?
We move light furniture and protect it as we go. Heavy pieces and electronics are best cleared beforehand.
